My Lord,

With reference to my Despatch No 274 of the 15th September, I have the honor to report, for your Lordship's information, that, in conformity with the provisions of Ordinance No 2 of 1848, I decided on establishing three Shaut Serangs for the Year Commencing on the 1st Instant. Licenses were accordingly put up for sale by public auction, severally at an upset price of $150, and purchased by one Individual for the aggregate sum of $470, which together with three Boarding house licences at $25 each, will yield a Revenue of $545.00
